| A native Chattanoogan, Randy Hodges attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism/Advertising. During his successful career in Advertising, he served as director of in-house agencies for major companies including Royal DeSoto, Sierra Permaneer Corp., Holiday Inns, and Shelby Williams Industries, Inc. He received more than 30 Addy Awards throughout the years including the coveted Gold Addy for excellence in advertising.
In 1998, Randy retired and moved permanently with his wife, T.J. , to their weekend retreat on Watts Bar Lake in Spring City, Tennessee. At age 67, he went to Europe with a group from the International Art Club and took lessons from longtime artist friend, Scott Coleman. It was only then that he realized he had a gift for painting. Randy and T.J. have traveled extensively in Europe and the U.S. His watercolors reflect their travels as well as wonderful subjects right in his own backyard!
Randy has been juried in to numerous art shows including Chattanooga's Four Bridges, Lexington, Kentucky's Woodland Park, Jackson, Georgia's Fine Arts Festival, Dalton, Georgia's Creative Arts Festival, St. Simons Art Festival, Art in the Park in Darien, Georgia and others. He has received Best of Show awards, numerous Honorable Mention awards, and was selected for Chattanooga's Association of Visual Arts Eye Candy Show and the Hunter Museum of Art's Artstravaganza exhibit and show.
Randy is an active member of the East Tennessee Watercolor Society, Dayton Art League, and the Rhea County Arts Council.
